This Giant Squid Is Awesome!

Okay, so I know this blog is more about wine and winemaking, but with an octopus as part of my logo and my fascination with eight armed sea creatures, I couldn't help but post the above picture. It comes from the Te Papa museums's blog, This is the place in New Zealand where a colossal squid was dissected last week. It is the largest intact squid ever caught. The eyeballs were as big as oranges! Not only is it an amazing animal, but imagine all the fried calamari you could get from it!
